Built by stacking Unicode combining marks above, below and through each character - real Unicode text, not an image, so it pastes anywhere that accepts Unicode. Some platforms strip or limit combining marks, and very dense output can render inconsistently between fonts.
How it works
Unicode allows any number of combining marks - accents, diacritics and similar - to be stacked on a single base character. Zalgo text abuses this by piling on many combining marks above, below and through each letter at once, which most fonts and rendering engines were never designed to lay out cleanly, producing the jagged, "glitching" look.
Intensity control
A low intensity adds a light scattering of marks - readable, slightly unsettling. A high intensity stacks marks densely enough that letters become hard to make out at all. The slider controls how many marks are added per character in each of the three zones (above, below, through), so the effect can be dialled from subtle to extreme.
Where it works, and where it does not
The result is plain Unicode text, not an image, so it copies and pastes into anywhere that accepts Unicode - social media posts, chat apps, usernames. Some platforms strip or limit combining marks server-side, and very dense output can render inconsistently between fonts and operating systems - that is an inherent property of stacking marks this heavily, not something this tool can normalise away.
