How your privacy is protected

Processed on your device

Your files are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to A2Z Tools. The photo, contact and calendar tools read your files with your browser’s own file APIs and build the results in memory.

No Apple sign-in, ever

There is no place on these pages to enter an Apple Account, password or code. To download from iCloud, you use Apple’s website or your own devices.

Nothing kept, nothing recorded

File names, contact details, events and photo metadata are not stored or logged, and session-recording analytics are switched off on the file tools.

A2Z Tools is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple Inc. iCloud, iPhone and Apple are trademarks of Apple Inc.

What the iCloud Tools & Help collection is for

iCloud keeps photos, contacts, calendars and backups in sync across Apple devices. The moment you take something out of iCloud – to use it on a Windows PC, share it with someone who does not use an iPhone, tidy it up or move to another service – you are working with ordinary files: HEIC photos, MOV videos, .vcf contact cards and .ics calendars. These tools are built for that moment.

Getting your files out of iCloud

Use Apple’s own website or your devices. On iCloud.com you can download selected photos from Photos, files from Drive, and export contacts as a vCard. On a Mac, the Contacts and Calendar apps can export .vcf and .ics files. On Windows, the iCloud for Windows app can download photos to a folder. Apple also lets you request a copy of your data from its Data and Privacy page. A2Z Tools never signs in on your behalf.

What these tools will not do

They do not ask for your Apple Account, password or two-factor code, they cannot see inside your account, and they do not unlock devices, bypass Activation Lock or recover passwords. If you are locked out of an account or a device, only Apple can help – the official links on this page go straight to Apple’s recovery and Activation Lock support.

Privacy

Your files are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to A2Z Tools. The calculators run in your browser too. Session-recording analytics are switched off on the file tools so file names and details cannot be captured.

Frequently asked questions

Are these official iCloud tools?

No. A2Z Tools is an independent website and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple. These tools work on files you have already downloaded or exported. For iCloud itself, use the clearly labelled links to Apple’s website on this page.

Do I need to sign in with my Apple Account?

No, and you should never enter your Apple Account details on a site that is not Apple’s. None of these tools has a sign-in form. You download files from iCloud.com or your device yourself, then open them here.

Are my photos, contacts or calendars uploaded?

No. The file tools read your files with your browser’s own APIs and build results in memory on your device. Your files are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to A2Z Tools.

How do I download my photos from iCloud to a PC?

Sign in on iCloud.com, open Photos, select the pictures and use the download button, or install iCloud for Windows and turn on Photos. iPhone photos are often HEIC files; the HEIC to JPG Converter here turns them into JPG or PNG.

Can you unlock an iPhone or remove Activation Lock?

No. Activation Lock protects stolen and lost devices and can only be removed by the owner through Apple. If you own the device, Apple’s Activation Lock support page explains what to do, including requests with proof of purchase.

My iCloud storage is full. Where do I start?

Use the iCloud Storage Calculator to see what is taking the space, then the Cleanup Planner for a safe order of steps. Old backups of devices you no longer own are usually the easiest space to recover. Apple’s storage support page shows where each setting is.
