Everything your team needs

  • Real-time conversations

Typing indicators, delivery status and messages that survive a refresh or a dropped connection.

  • Team inbox and routing

Invite agents by email, group them into departments and route chats manually, round robin or to the least busy agent.

  • Business hours

Weekly hours per department plus special days, so visitors know when you are around.

  • Pre-chat questions

Ask for a name, email, phone, subject, department or reference - each hidden, optional or required.

  • Offline messages

When nobody is available, visitors leave a message instead. No reply time is promised that you cannot keep.

  • Canned responses and ratings

Save answers to common questions, ask for a rating at the end, and email visitors their transcript.

  • Your brand

Colours with contrast checks, light or dark theme, corner radius, launcher label, greeting bubble and mobile fullscreen or compact.

  • Analytics

Conversations, agents, departments, ratings and installation health in your dashboard.

Good to know

  • File attachments are switched off until file scanning and secure storage are finished.
  • There are no chatbots or automated replies - every answer comes from a person.
  • The widget only runs on the website address you verify, so nobody can copy your code onto another site.
  • Messages are stored so conversations survive a refresh and you can read them later; A2Z Tools staff cannot read them by default.
  • Pricing is not settled yet. We will tell you well before anything changes.

Be there when your customers need you

Create your Live Chat widget, style it and paste it into your site. You can change anything afterwards.

  • Business hours per department, including special days
  • Offline message form when nobody is available, without a promised reply time
  • Every answer comes from a person; no chatbots or automated replies
  • File attachments are switched off
  • Runs only on the website address you register; loader of about 17 KB
  • Pricing is not settled yet

What is this tool?

Live chat software lets people on your website talk to your team in real time, inside the page they are reading. A2Z Live Chat is the hosted version from A2Z Tools: the chat window runs on your site, the conversation is stored for your team, and replies come from people answering in the A2Z Tools dashboard.

How it differs from the chat widgets

The free WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram and Viber widgets hand the visitor to a messaging app and the conversation continues on your personal or business account there. Live Chat keeps the conversation on your website, needs nothing from the visitor, and gives a team shared tools: departments, routing, business hours, canned responses, transcripts, ratings and analytics.

How to use it

Setting up Live Chat has three parts: the widget (how it looks and what it asks), the team (agents, departments, hours) and the installation on your website. Create the widget at /live-chat/edit while signed in.

  1. Sign in to A2Z Tools and open /live-chat/edit to create a Live Chat widget.
  2. Register the website address the chat is allowed to run on.
  3. Set the brand name, welcome message, colours, theme and launcher, and choose what the pre-chat form asks.
  4. Add departments, business hours and canned responses, and invite agents by email.
  5. Add the embed code to your website.
  6. Answer chats from the dashboard inbox and review transcripts, ratings and analytics.

Example

A software company with sales and support. Two departments are created. Sales keeps weekday hours with a special day for a public holiday; Support routes round robin across three agents. The pre-chat form asks for name and email (required) and department (required), with phone hidden.

What happens: a visitor picks Support, is routed to the next available agent, and gets an answer in the page. Out of hours, the offline form takes their message instead. When the chat ends the visitor rates it and can have the transcript emailed to themselves.

Common use cases

  • Answering pricing and product questions while a visitor is still on the page
  • Giving a support team one shared inbox instead of personal phones
  • Sending sales, support and billing chats to the right department
  • Collecting messages outside business hours
  • Measuring conversations, agent workload and ratings

Benefits

  • Nothing for the visitor to install. No app, no account - the chat opens in the page.
  • Built for teams. Email invitations, departments, routing and availability decide who answers.
  • Brand-matched. Colours with contrast checks, light, dark or auto theme, corner radius and mobile layouts.
  • Light on your pages. A loader of about 17 KB does no work until needed; the chat interface loads only when opened.
  • Accountable. Transcripts, ratings and analytics show how conversations went.

Limitations

  • Pricing is not settled yet. We do not describe Live Chat as free; check the product page before relying on it long term.
  • No file attachments. Attachment sending is switched off, so visitors cannot upload files or screenshots in the chat.
  • No chatbot. There are no automated replies; if nobody is available, visitors see the offline message form, which does not promise a reply time.
  • Registered website only. The chat runs only on the address you register, so copying the code to another site does not work.

Privacy & your data

Where conversations are stored

Conversations are hosted by A2Z Tools rather than a messaging app. Messages are stored so a chat survives page refreshes, and the agents you invite can read them in the dashboard. A2Z Tools staff cannot read conversations by default. Retention is managed by category.

What visitors share

Only what they type, plus the pre-chat fields you enable: name, email, phone, subject, department, reference and consent, each set to hidden, optional or required. A visitor can ask for the transcript to be emailed to their own address.

Consent

You can add consent text with links to your privacy policy and terms, and require a consent tick in the pre-chat form.

Frequently asked questions

Is A2Z Live Chat free?

Pricing for Live Chat is not settled yet, so we do not describe it as free. The WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram, Viber and All-in-One chat widgets are free.

Do visitors need an app or an account to chat?

No. The chat opens inside your website. Depending on your settings, the visitor may be asked a few pre-chat questions such as name or email first.

How is Live Chat different from the WhatsApp chat widget?

The WhatsApp widget sends the visitor to WhatsApp and you reply from your own WhatsApp account. Live Chat keeps the conversation on your website, needs nothing from the visitor, and lets a team answer from the A2Z Tools dashboard with departments, routing, business hours, canned responses, transcripts and ratings.

Can several people on my team answer chats?

Yes. Invite agents by email, group them into departments, and choose manual, round robin or least active routing. Each department has its own business hours, including special days, and agents set their availability.

What happens when nobody is available?

Visitors see an offline message form instead of a live chat. The form does not promise a reply time, so answer those messages from the dashboard as soon as you can.

Is there a chatbot, and can visitors send files?

No to both. There are no chatbots or automated replies - every answer comes from a person - and file attachments are switched off.

Will Live Chat slow down my website?

The loader is about 17 KB and does no work until it is needed; the full chat interface loads only when a visitor opens it.

Who can read the conversations?

The agents you invite can read conversations in the dashboard. A2Z Tools staff cannot read conversations by default. Messages are stored so a chat survives page refreshes, retention is managed by category, and visitors can have their transcript emailed to their own address.
