A two-hour outage is a hundred failed checks. You get one email when your site goes down and one when it recovers — because an alert you have learned to ignore is worse than no alert.
A blip is not an outage
Every site drops the occasional request. We only call a site down after 2 consecutive failed checks, so a single lost packet does not wake you.
Certificate expiry, before it bites
An expired TLS certificate takes a site down completely and without warning. Every check reads the certificate, and we tell you thirty days out.
More than a status code
A page can return 200 while the content is broken. Tell us a word that should appear on the page and we will check that too, not just that something answered.
Response times, kept
Every check records how long your site took. A site getting steadily slower is the warning you get before the outage.
Honest uptime
Uptime is the share of checks that succeeded, over the window your plan covers. A monitor with no checks yet shows nothing rather than a comfortable 100%.
How it works
- Add your website. Just the address. We will fill in the rest with sensible defaults, and check it straight away so you can see it working.
- We check it, from outside. From our servers, over the public internet, exactly as one of your visitors would reach it. There is nothing to install and no agent on your server.
- You hear from us only when it matters. Two consecutive failures and you get an email naming the site and the reason. One success and you get the all-clear, with how long the outage lasted.

How often is my website checked?
Every 30 minutes on the free plan, and as often as every 5 minutes on a paid one. You choose the interval for each website.
Will I be emailed every time a check fails?
No. A site has to fail 2 checks in a row before we call it down, and you get one email then and one when it recovers — not one per failed check.
What if the alert arrives late?
If a down alert is held up long enough that the outage has already ended, we do not send it. Being told to panic about something that finished an hour ago is worse than not being told. The recovery email carries the whole story, including how long it lasted.
Does it check the certificate?
Yes, on every check, and the dashboard warns you when one is within thirty days of expiring.
Do I need to install anything?
No. We check from outside, the way a visitor reaches you. There is no agent and nothing to add to your server.
Can I monitor something on my own network?
No, and deliberately. We only request addresses that resolve to the public internet. A monitoring service that will fetch any address you give it is a way to reach inside private networks, so we refuse those when you add the site rather than failing quietly later.
