What the Rumble Thumbnail Downloader does
Rumble shows a poster image for each video on channel pages, in search and in link previews. This tool reads that poster exactly as Rumble declares it and shows the image with its measured size. It is aimed at creators who publish on Rumble and want their own poster back, site owners embedding Rumble players, and editors checking link previews.

The two link types are read differently. For a video page, our server loads the public page and reads the poster declared in its og:image tag, plus the twitter:image tag when present. Rumble’s oEmbed service only accepts embed addresses, so embed links are sent there instead.

If both tags point to the same file, you see it once. Every image is loaded, its format identified from the bytes and its width and height measured, so the numbers reflect the file itself rather than what a tag claims.

Why does Rumble give only one thumbnail size?
Rumble declares a single poster image per video. The tool shows that image, and a separate Twitter card image when the page declares one, rather than inventing resized copies.
What is the difference between a Rumble page link and an embed link here?
A page link (ending in .html) is read from the public page’s og:image tag. An embed link (rumble.com/embed/…) is sent to Rumble’s oEmbed service, which only accepts embed addresses.
Can I paste a Rumble channel link?
No. The tool needs a specific video page or embed address, because posters belong to individual videos.
Why did the tool fail for a video that plays in my browser?
Rumble can block automated requests or restrict some pages. When our server cannot read the page or oEmbed data, the tool reports the error instead of guessing an image.
Does it download Rumble videos?
No. Only the poster image is read; the video stream is never requested.
