Free Spotify image tool

Spotify Cover Art Downloader

Get album covers, playlist covers, artist images and podcast artwork from a Spotify link or URI, in every size Spotify publishes for that image - typically 640, 300 and 64 pixels.

  • Real sizes, measured
  • Largest size marked
  • Download or copy URL
  • ZIP of every size

How the Spotify Cover Art Downloader works

1. Paste a Spotify link

The address is checked against Spotify's own domains before anything is requested.

2. Public metadata is read

Our server asks Spotify's public metadata service which images exist, then loads and measures each one.

3. Download

Save the size you need, copy its URL, or download every size as a ZIP.

Supported input

  • open.spotify.com/track/...
  • open.spotify.com/album/...
  • open.spotify.com/playlist/...
  • open.spotify.com/artist/...
  • open.spotify.com/show/... and /episode/...
  • spotify:album:... style URIs

Limitations

  • Spotify's largest public cover size is usually 640 x 640. There is no higher-resolution original to download.
  • Playlist mosaics and some custom playlist covers only exist in the size Spotify returns.
  • Private playlists cannot be read.

How your data is handled. The link you enter is sent to A2Z.Tools so our server can read the platform's public metadata and check each image. We do not store the link, and our analytics record only the platform, how many images were found and any error code. Images are downloaded through a short-lived link that stops working after about 30 minutes.

What the Spotify Cover Art Downloader does

Spotify serves each cover from its image CDN in a small, fixed family of sizes. This tool asks Spotify’s public oEmbed service which image belongs to a link, recognises the size family, then loads and measures each size. It helps artists and labels who need their release artwork, playlist curators checking how a cover renders, and podcasters confirming their show art.

Supported Spotify links

  • open.spotify.com/track/… – returns the album artwork the track uses
  • open.spotify.com/album/… and /playlist/…
  • open.spotify.com/artist/…
  • open.spotify.com/show/… and /episode/… for podcasts
  • Links with a regional prefix (intl-xx) or an /embed/ path
  • URIs such as spotify:album:… copied from the desktop app

What you get

  • Album artwork and Track cover: 640 × 640, 300 × 300 and 64 × 64
  • Podcast cover: 640 × 640, 300 × 300 and 64 × 64
  • Artist image: 640, 320 and 160 pixels
  • Playlist cover: the single size Spotify returns

Spotify’s largest public cover is usually 640 × 640. There is no higher-resolution original available through Spotify, and the tool does not pretend otherwise. Playlist mosaics and some custom playlist covers do not belong to a size family, so they are offered exactly as Spotify returns them.

Common uses

  • Getting your release artwork at 640 × 640 for a press page or presave link
  • Checking that a playlist cover you uploaded still looks sharp at 300 pixels
  • Using a podcast’s 64 × 64 cover to test legibility at small sizes
  • Keeping a reference of the covers on playlists you curate

Limitations

  • No cover larger than Spotify publishes can be produced.
  • Private playlists cannot be read.
  • Episode artwork that does not match a known size family is shown in one size.

Privacy

The link you enter is sent to A2Z.Tools so our server can ask Spotify’s oEmbed service for the cover and check each size. We do not store the link, and our analytics record only the platform, how many images were found and any error code. Images are delivered through a short-lived download link that stops working after about 30 minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Can I download a Spotify cover larger than 640 x 640?

Not from Spotify. Its largest publicly served cover is usually 640 × 640, and the tool offers only sizes that Spotify actually serves.

Can I paste a spotify: URI instead of a link?

Yes. URIs such as spotify:album:…, spotify:track:… or spotify:playlist:… are converted to their open.spotify.com address automatically.

Why does a track link give me the album cover?

Spotify tracks do not have their own artwork; they use the cover of the album or single they belong to, so that is what Spotify returns.

Why does my playlist cover come in only one size?

Playlist mosaics and some custom playlist covers are not part of Spotify’s fixed size families, so only the size Spotify returns is available.

Are artist images the same sizes as album covers?

No. Artist images use a different family: 640, 320 and 160 pixels, while album and podcast covers are 640, 300 and 64 pixels.
