Is my video uploaded to A2Z.Tools?

No. The file is opened by your browser, and frames are decoded and encoded on your device. Nothing is sent to our server.

Why won't my video open?

The browser does the decoding, so files in codecs it cannot play – such as some HEVC or ProRes recordings – cannot be opened. Try another browser or convert the file to H.264 MP4.

Can I make a vertical thumbnail for Shorts or Reels?

Yes. Choose the 9:16 crop before exporting. 16:9 and 1:1 crops are also available.

Which image formats can I export?

JPG, PNG and WebP, with a quality setting. You can download a single frame or a ZIP of several frames.

Why is frame-by-frame stepping slightly uneven on my phone video?

Many phone recordings use a variable frame rate. The browser estimates the rate, so single-frame steps can occasionally skip or repeat a frame.
