How your data is handled. The link you enter is sent to A2Z.Tools so our server can read the platform's public metadata and check each image. We do not store the link, and our analytics record only the platform, how many images were found and any error code. Images are downloaded through a short-lived link that stops working after about 30 minutes.

When a link is shared, each platform builds a card from the page’s tags. A missing image or an oversized file can turn a strong article into a bare URL. This tool reads a page’s Open Graph and Twitter card tags, draws how the card would look on six platforms, lets you download the preview image, and lists the problems it finds. It suits content marketers, bloggers, web developers and SEO teams checking pages before they are promoted.

Warnings it checks for

- An og:image that is relative, uses http://, or cannot be loaded
- Images under 200 × 200, or below the commonly recommended 1200 × 630
- A shape far from the roughly 1.91:1 ratio of large link cards, which will be cropped
- og:image:width and height values that do not match the real image
- SVG preview images, which Facebook, LinkedIn and X do not accept
- Files over 8 MB (Facebook), over 5 MB (X) or over 600 KB, which WhatsApp often skips
- Titles and descriptions long enough to be truncated, and a noimageindex robots directive

Frequently asked questions
Does this tool contact Facebook, LinkedIn or X?
No. It reads the tags on your page and draws each preview itself. Platforms may still show an older cached card until they re-crawl the page.
What size should an og:image be?
Around 1200 × 630 pixels, a roughly 1.91:1 shape, is the size most platforms recommend for large previews. The tool warns when an image is under 200 × 200, below 1200 wide, or a very different shape.
Why doesn't WhatsApp show my preview image?
WhatsApp often skips large preview images. The tool flags og:image files over 600 KB so you can provide a lighter copy.
Can I use an SVG as my social preview image?
Facebook, LinkedIn and X do not accept SVG preview images, so the tool reports an SVG og:image as an error. Use a PNG or JPG instead.
Why does the preview differ from what I see on a platform?
Platforms cache previews and may moderate them, and pages that add tags with JavaScript or serve crawlers different content can look different to them. Re-run the check after updating your tags.
