Free Pinterest image tool

Pinterest Image Downloader

Paste a public Pinterest pin link to save the pin's image at its original upload size and at the widths Pinterest serves. This extracts images only - it does not download pin videos.

  • Real sizes, measured
  • Largest size marked
  • Download or copy URL
  • ZIP of every size

How the Pinterest Image Downloader works

1. Paste a Pinterest link

The address is checked against Pinterest's own domains before anything is requested.

2. Public metadata is read

Our server asks Pinterest's public metadata service which images exist, then loads and measures each one.

3. Download

Save the size you need, copy its URL, or download every size as a ZIP.

Supported input

  • pinterest.com/pin/123456789012345678/
  • Country domains such as pinterest.co.uk/pin/...
  • Pin links with a title slug (pin/title--123456789/)

Limitations

  • Short pin.it links are not accepted; open them and paste the full pin address.
  • Video pins return their cover image only.
  • Secret and private boards cannot be read.

How your data is handled. The link you enter is sent to A2Z.Tools so our server can read the platform's public metadata and check each image. We do not store the link, and our analytics record only the platform, how many images were found and any error code. Images are downloaded through a short-lived link that stops working after about 30 minutes.

What the Pinterest Image Downloader does

Pinterest serves each pin image from its CDN at a few fixed widths plus an “originals” copy of the upload. Its oEmbed service only mentions the small 236-pixel version, so this tool takes that image path, checks the same image at Pinterest’s other published widths, and shows each one that really exists with its measured size. It is useful for creators saving the images of their own pins, brands auditing how their pins render, and designers who pinned their own work and need it back.

Supported Pinterest links

  • pinterest.com/pin/123456789012345678/
  • Country domains such as pinterest.co.uk, pinterest.de, pinterest.ca, pinterest.com.au, pinterest.fr and pinterest.jp, plus regional subdomains like in.pinterest.com
  • Pin links with a title slug: pinterest.com/pin/title--123456789/

Short pin.it links redirect to an address the tool cannot see in advance, so they are not accepted. Open the short link, then paste the full pin address.

What you get

  • Original upload – the image as the pinner uploaded it
  • 736 wide – the size Pinterest uses for pin close-ups
  • 474 wide – the grid size on larger screens
  • 236 wide – the small grid size

Heights follow the pin’s own shape, so a tall infographic pin will be much taller than it is wide. If the original upload is narrower than 736 or 474 pixels, those copies would be enlargements and are removed.

This is an image tool. For video pins it returns the cover image only and never touches the video.

Common uses

  • Recovering a graphic you designed and pinned when the source file is lost
  • Checking how your brand’s pins are compressed at each width
  • Saving your own recipe or product pin images for your website
  • Keeping reference copies of pins on a mood board, for personal inspiration

Limitations

  • Pins on secret boards and private accounts cannot be read.
  • Removed pins return an error.

Privacy

The link you enter is sent to A2Z.Tools so our server can ask Pinterest’s oEmbed service about the pin and check each image. We do not store the link, and our analytics record only the platform, how many images were found and any error code. Images are delivered through a short-lived download link that stops working after about 30 minutes.

Copyright

Many pins are saved from other websites, so the person who pinned an image is often not its owner. Download thumbnails and cover artwork only for content you own, have permission to use, or for legally permitted reference, research or personal use. The copyright remains with the original creator or rights holder.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get the original size of a Pinterest image?

Paste the pin address. The tool checks Pinterest’s originals copy of the image and, if it exists, offers it with its measured dimensions alongside the 736, 474 and 236 wide versions.

Why was my pin.it link rejected?

pin.it links are redirects. The tool does not follow unknown redirects, so open the short link in your browser and paste the full pinterest address it opens.

Can I download a Pinterest video with this tool?

No. It extracts images only. For a video pin you get the cover image, never the video.

Why is the 736 wide version missing?

If the uploaded original is narrower than 736 pixels, a 736 wide copy would only be enlarged, so the tool removes it and shows the original instead.

Does it work with pinterest.co.uk or other country sites?

Yes. Pin links on Pinterest’s country domains, such as pinterest.co.uk or pinterest.de, are recognised and read the same way.
