Saudi Final Settlement Calculator Widget
Build a Saudi final settlement line by line: salary still owed, the end-of-service award, cash for unused annual leave, pay in lieu of notice in either direction, contractual extras and work-related debts - every component shown with the article and the wage it rests on, never one opaque total.

A plain iframe. Works everywhere, including site builders that strip scripts. Adjust height if your content needs more room.
<div data-a2z-widget="saudi-final-settlement-calculator" data-height="1200"></div> <script async src="https://a2z.tools/embed.js"></script>
Adds a small script (what it does) that sizes the widget to fit its content, loads it lazily and keeps it isolated from your page's CSS.

How it works
A final settlement is several separate entitlements added together, so the widget keeps them apart. The end-of-service award follows Articles 84 to 87 (the same engine as A2Z's end-of-service calculator). Unused annual leave is paid on leaving under Article 111, including a pro rata share for part of the year, at the actual monthly wage divided by thirty, because Article 2 defines a month as thirty days and the wage as the actual wage. If notice was not worked, Article 76 makes the party at fault pay the wage for the notice period: the employer pays it to the worker, or it is set against the worker's dues. Article 75, as amended from 19 February 2025, sets that period for an indefinite contract paid monthly at thirty days from the worker and sixty from the employer. Article 88 requires payment within one week of the contract ending, or two weeks when the worker ended it, and lets the employer deduct work-related debts.
Calculation method
- End-of-service award: Arts. 84-87 on the last actual wage
- Unused leave = actual monthly wage / 30 x unused days (Arts. 111, 2)
- Notice in lieu = actual monthly wage / 30 x notice days not worked (Art. 76)
- Net = outstanding salary + award + leave + notice to the worker + other - notice owed by the worker - deductions
- Due by: +7 days, or +14 when the worker ended the contract (Art. 88)
Worked examples
Terminated with notice paid
Inputs: SAR 12,000 wage; 1 Jan 2020 - 31 Dec 2024; 10 leave days; 60 notice days paid in lieu; SAR 5,000 unpaid; SAR 1,000 debt
Result: Net SAR 62,000
Award 2.5 months = 30,000; leave 4,000; notice 24,000; plus 5,000; less 1,000.
Resigned without working notice
Inputs: Same dates, resignation; 30 notice days owed by the worker
Result: Net SAR -2,000
One third of the award, 10,000, less 12,000 for the notice not worked.
A calculation aid, not legal advice. The Labor Law, the contract and the labour courts decide each entitlement.
Limitations
- Unpaid salary, contractual extras and deductions are taken as entered; the widget does not check them.
- Compensation for termination without a valid reason (Article 77) and fixed-term early-termination damages are not added.
- The unused-leave balance must be entered; A2Z's annual leave calculator can estimate it.
Where publishers use it
- An HR team's offboarding checklist that shows the employee every line before signing the clearance
- A labour-law firm's page where a worker checks an employer's settlement statement
- A payroll software blog comparing Saudi and UAE final settlement rules
- A recruitment agency's guide for workers finishing a contract in the Kingdom
Questions
What is included in a final settlement in Saudi Arabia?
Unpaid wages, the end-of-service award (Articles 84-87), pay for unused annual leave (Article 111), pay in lieu of notice where notice was not worked (Article 76), and any contractual entitlements, less lawful deductions such as work-related debts.
Is unused leave paid on the basic or the total salary?
On the actual wage. Article 111 entitles the worker to pay for the leave days not taken, and Article 2 defines the wage as the actual wage - basic plus allowances. This differs from the UAE, where unused leave is paid on basic salary.
What notice period applies after the 2025 amendments?
For an indefinite contract paid monthly, the worker gives at least 30 days and the employer at least 60 days. If the wage is not paid monthly, 30 days applies to either party. Before 19 February 2025 it was 60 days either way.
How quickly must the employer pay?
Within one week of the end of the contract, or within two weeks when the worker ended it, under Article 88.
