Adds a small script (what it does) that sizes the widget to fit its content, loads it lazily and keeps it isolated from your page's CSS.

How it works
Article 66 allows overtime only by written order for necessity or emergency, and pays it at the worker's normal wage for the same period plus twenty-five per cent; the ILO summary's '125 to 150%' range is not in the text. Overtime is limited to two hours a day, one hundred and eighty hours and ninety days a year, and three days a week. Article 67 adds at least fifty per cent to the wage for work on the weekly rest day - a day of twenty-four consecutive hours after every six working days - together with a substitute rest day, and Article 68 gives double pay and a substitute day for work on any of the thirteen official holiday days, such as National Day and Liberation Day on 25 and 26 February. The widget converts the monthly wage to an hourly rate with a divisor the Law does not fix; 208 hours (twenty-six working days of eight hours) is shown as a derived default you can change.
Calculation method
- Hourly = monthly wage / divisor (default 208, derived)
- Overtime x 1.25; rest day x 1.50; official holiday x 2.00
- Total rounded to the fils
Worked examples
Ten overtime hours
Inputs: Wage KWD 624; divisor 208 (KWD 3 an hour)
Result: KWD 37.500
Rest day and holiday
Inputs: 8 hours each on KWD 624
Result: KWD 84.000
8 x 4.5 + 8 x 6.
A calculation aid, not legal advice.
Limitations
- The hourly divisor is not set by law.
- Night work has no separate premium in Law 6/2010.
- Sector rules for banking hours are not modelled.
Where publishers use it
- A logistics or oil-services contractor costing extra shifts
- A worker checking an overtime line on a payslip
- An HR policy page on Kuwait's overtime caps
- A Shuwaikh or Mina Abdullah workshop budgeting weekend and National Day shifts
