Adds a small script (what it does) that sizes the widget to fit its content, loads it lazily and keeps it isolated from your page's CSS.

How it works
Under Article 29 of Bahrain's VAT Law and Articles 33 and 34 of its Executive Regulations, a resident business must register when its taxable supplies - standard-rated and zero-rated, without capital assets - over the twelve months to the end of any month exceed BHD 37,500, or when they are expected to exceed it over the next twelve months. The application is due within thirty days after the end of that month, or thirty days before the month in which the excess is expected. Voluntary registration under Article 33 is open when supplies or taxable expenses of the past twelve months reach BHD 18,750, or are expected to exceed it over the next twelve, and a voluntary registrant must stay registered for at least twenty-four months. The two tests use different words - 'exceeds' for mandatory and 'reaches' for past voluntary figures - and the checker applies each literally. Non-resident businesses have no threshold.
What is checked
- Must register: past or next 12 months > BHD 37,500
- Apply within 30 days of the month end
- May register: past 12 months supplies or expenses >= 18,750, or next 12 > 18,750
Worked examples
Over the line
Inputs: Past 12 months BHD 40,000
Result: Must register within 30 days of the month end
Exactly BHD 37,500
Inputs: Past 12 months 37,500
Result: Voluntary only
A threshold check, not a registration decision.

Questions
What is the VAT registration threshold in Bahrain?
Mandatory above BHD 37,500 of taxable supplies over the past or next 12 months; voluntary from BHD 18,750 of supplies or expenses.
How long do I have to register in Bahrain?
30 days after the end of the month in which the threshold was exceeded, or 30 days before the month it is expected to be exceeded.
Can I deregister straight after a voluntary registration?
No. A voluntary registrant must remain registered for at least 24 months.
Do I register through Sijilat or the NBR?
VAT registration is filed with the National Bureau for Revenue on its portal, separately from the commercial registration on Sijilat; the NBR assigns the VAT account number once the threshold test is met.
Do zero-rated sales count towards the BHD 37,500?
Yes. Standard-rated and zero-rated supplies both count; exempt supplies such as residential rent and sales of capital assets do not.
