A realistic example
A 38-minute two-person interview transcribes into roughly 220-260 timestamped segments, each a few seconds long. Clicking the timestamp on any segment - for instance one at 14:32 - jumps the audio player straight to that moment, and the whole thing exports as one SRT file ready to hand to a video editor.

Is the Podcast Transcript Generator free?

Does it label who is speaking?
Not yet. The transcript is timestamped but not speaker-labelled; speaker detection is a planned preview mode shown elsewhere in the studio, not a claim made here.
How is this different from audio-to-text?
The same transcription engine, framed differently. audio-to-text is built for any recording - lectures, voice memos, meetings. This page is framed around podcast episodes specifically: the transcript it produces is meant to feed clip, Reel and summary generation as those modes ship, and the copy and examples here talk about episodes rather than recordings in general.
Can I search the transcript?
Not yet as a dedicated search box - the transcript is fully visible on the page, so a browser's own find-in-page (Ctrl/Cmd+F) works well until dedicated search ships.
What can I export?
Plain text with or without timestamps (copied to your clipboard), or downloaded as a TXT file, an SRT subtitle file, or a WebVTT file.
What happens if I reload the page mid-transcription?
The job keeps running on the server. Reloading reconnects to it and continues showing real progress rather than losing your place.
