How highlight score and standalone context work
Highlight score is meant to be a relative signal - how strongly a moment matches one of the six patterns above - not a prediction of views, shares or engagement. A2Z will never label it a virality score or guarantee results from it.
Standalone context means the clip is checked for whether it makes sense without the sentence before it. A great line that depends on the previous minute of setup is a weaker clip candidate than one that stands alone, even if the line itself is strong.
Boundary adjustment lets you move a clip's start and end after it is suggested, since an automatic cut is a starting point, not a finished edit - a beat too early or a laugh cut off is exactly what adjustment is for.
