New Year Card Maker
Pick a design, write a few lines, and send it as a link that opens like a card - or save it as an image for WhatsApp and Instagram.
No account needed. Each card is kept on our server under a short link, its words signed so nobody can change them on the way. Anyone with the link can read the card, so send it to the people it’s for.
How to make a New Year card
- Choose a design. Each one is built from layers - paper sheets for Christmas, polished chrome for New Year - and the preview moves the way the card will open.
- Write it. Pick a greeting, add who it’s for and a few lines. Long messages shrink to fit; nothing runs off the card.
- Send it. Get a link that plays the card opening on their phone, or download the image in card, square or story size.

New Year cards in midnight and chrome
The last minutes of the year have their own look: a dark sky, city lights, glasses catching the light, and a clock hand climbing toward twelve. This New Year card maker turns that into three designs built from deep midnight colours and polished-chrome lettering – bright above a sharp horizon line and darker below, like a reflection in metal. There is no clip-art: every star, streak and numeral is drawn fresh for your card.
The three designs
- Midnight chrome – the year itself in large chrome numerals, reflected on a glass floor, with streaks of light crossing behind.
- Last seconds – a chrome clock face on an indigo sky with soft out-of-focus lights. Both hands point to twelve; on screen, a thin second hand sweeps toward midnight.
- Silver streamers – ribbons of silver curling across a black sky with falling chrome and champagne-coloured confetti.
The right year, every time
The greeting “Happy New Year” with the year is filled in for you: from July onwards a card is made for the coming year, and in January and the months after it is made for the year that has just begun. The year is fixed into the card when you make it, so a card sent in late December still says the right thing when it is opened on the first of January. If you prefer, choose “Cheers to”, “Here’s to” or a plain “Happy New Year” without a number.
How to send it
- Pick a design and a greeting, then add who it is for, your wish (up to 220 characters) and your name.
- Choose Get a link to send. When the link is opened, the scene fades up, light sweeps across the chrome lettering and your words appear. The preview in WhatsApp shows who the card is from, not what it says.
- Or choose Download image for a 4:5 card, a square post or a 9:16 story – ready for the midnight rush on WhatsApp Status and Instagram.
Ideas for a New Year message
Look back once and forward once: thank someone for being part of the year, then wish them one specific thing for the next. “Thank you for every Sunday call this year – here’s to more of them” says more than a list of good wishes. For a team, a short line about what you achieved together lands well.

Frequently asked questions
Is the New Year card maker free?
Yes. There is nothing to sign up for and no watermark on the images.
Which year does the card show?
From July onwards the card is made for the coming year; from January to June, for the current year. The year is fixed when you make the card, so it stays right whenever it is opened. You can also choose a greeting without a number.
Can I send it at midnight on WhatsApp?
Yes. Make the card in advance, then send the link or the image at midnight. The link works on any phone browser, including the browser inside WhatsApp.
Can someone edit my card after I send it?
No. The link is signed; if anything in it is changed, it will not open.
Does the animation play in the downloaded image?
The image is a still picture of the finished card. The opening animation, twinkling stars and light sweep play when the card is opened from its link.
