No account needed. Each card is kept on our server under a short link, its words signed so nobody can change them on the way. Anyone with the link can read the card, so send it to the people it’s for.

How to make a Christmas card

  1. Choose a design. Each one is built from layers - paper sheets for Christmas, polished chrome for New Year - and the preview moves the way the card will open.
  2. Write it. Pick a greeting, add who it’s for and a few lines. Long messages shrink to fit; nothing runs off the card.
  3. Send it. Get a link that plays the card opening on their phone, or download the image in card, square or story size.

Christmas cards in the Nordic paper-cut style

In Scandinavia, paper is part of how Christmas looks. Families cut stars, hearts and snowflakes from folded paper, hang woven paper baskets on the tree and fill windows with layered paper scenes lit from behind. The craft is simple – a few colours, flat shapes, careful edges – and that simplicity is what makes it warm. This Christmas card maker is built on the same idea. Every design is a stack of paper sheets in spruce green, cream, cranberry red and mustard gold, each one casting a soft shadow on the sheet behind it.

The three designs

  • Fjord night – rolling hills under a dark green sky, cream and red pines, a small cabin with its windows lit and an eight-point folk star.
  • Cranberry star – a deep red card with a layered eight-point star, the shape found on Scandinavian Christmas decorations, inside a cut-paper frame with a lace edge.
  • Snow village – a light, cream card: a row of houses with red and green roofs between snowy hills and pines.

How to make your card

  1. Choose a design. The preview shows the card as it will open, with snow drifting across it.
  2. Pick a greeting – Merry Christmas, Season’s Greetings, Happy Holidays, or Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year if this is your only card of the season.
  3. Add who it is for, a message of up to 220 characters (line breaks are kept) and your name.
  4. Get a link, or download the image as a 4:5 card, a square or a 9:16 story.

When someone opens your link, the paper sheets slide up into place one after another, the star settles, and then your words appear. Their link preview says that a Christmas card is waiting from you – it never shows the message itself.

What to write in a Christmas card

The best Christmas messages are short and particular. Thank someone for one thing they did this year. Mention a plan for the new year. For colleagues and clients, a warm, simple line – “Wishing you a restful Christmas and a good start to the new year” – is better than anything elaborate. If you are sending to friends who do not celebrate Christmas, “Season’s Greetings” or “Happy Holidays” keeps the warmth without assuming.

Free, private and made in your browser

There is nothing to sign up for. Images are drawn in your browser and never uploaded. A card link holds its own words, signed by our server so they cannot be altered, and anyone with the link can read the card – so send it to the people it is meant for. Frequently asked questions

Is this Christmas card maker free?

Yes – no sign-up, no watermark, and you can download as many cards as you like.

What size is the downloaded Christmas card?

Choose a 1080 × 1350 card (4:5), a 1080 × 1080 square, or a 1080 × 1920 story for Instagram and WhatsApp Status. All are PNG images.

Will the person see my message in the WhatsApp preview?

No. The preview says that a Christmas card is waiting from you; the message only appears when the card is opened.

Can I write my message in Hindi or another language?

Yes. Names and messages in Hindi and other scripts appear on the card as you type them. The link preview picture uses a general message for names that are not in the Latin alphabet.

What if my message is long?

Up to 220 characters and five lines fit. The lettering shrinks to fit the space above the scene, so nothing is cut off at the edges.
