Hotel Amenities Widget Widget
Show guests what your hotel, B&B, holiday let or hostel offers before they book: check-in and check-out times in their locale's clock, amenities grouped with clear icons, the things you do not offer stated plainly, and your house rules.

A plain iframe. Works everywhere, including site builders that strip scripts. Adjust height if your content needs more room.
<div data-a2z-widget="hotel-amenities-widget" data-height="1050"></div> <script async src="https://a2z.tools/embed.js"></script>
Adds a small script (what it does) that sizes the widget to fit its content, loads it lazily and keeps it isolated from your page's CSS.
Works with
How it works
Set check-in (for example 15:00 or 3pm) and check-out (11:00 or 11am); the tiles format them with the publisher's locale, so a UK site shows from 15:00 and a US site from 3:00 PM. Amenities are written in groups: '## Food & drink' starts a group, and each line is amenity | optional detail | optional icon keyword. Fifteen keywords have hand-drawn line icons - wifi, parking, pool, gym, breakfast, pets, accessible, ac, spa, restaurant, bar, laundry, ev, airport and family; leave the keyword out and the icon is guessed from the name (Car park becomes parking, Fibre Wi-Fi becomes wifi), with a tick for anything unrecognised. Put ! before a name, or write 'not available' as the detail, to show something you do not offer: it gets a crossed-out icon, a dashed outline and the words Not available, so it never depends on colour. On wide frames amenities sit in a grid of cards; under about 420 pixels they become a single bordered list. House rules, one per line, close the widget.
Method
- Times: '15:00', '3pm' or '3:30 pm' -> minutes after midnight -> formatted with Intl in the publisher's locale
- '## Group' starts a group; 'Amenity | detail | icon' per line; '!' prefix or detail 'not available' = not offered
- Icon = given keyword if known, else first keyword whose pattern matches the name, else a tick
Worked examples
US motel times
Inputs: checkin 3pm; checkout 11am; locale en-US
Result: Check-in from 3:00 PM; Check-out by 11:00 AM
12-hour input is read as 15:00 and 11:00 and shown in the US clock.
Pets not allowed
Inputs: !Pets | Assistance dogs welcome
Result: Pets - Not available - Assistance dogs welcome (crossed pets icon)
The ! prefix marks the item as not offered while keeping the detail.
Limitations
- A static list: it does not check live availability, room types or prices from a booking engine.
- Fifteen icon keywords only; other amenities show a tick.
- Accessibility details are only as complete as the text you write; describe step-free routes and accessible rooms specifically.
Where publishers use it
- A boutique hotel's Rooms page, between the gallery and the booking engine button
- An Airbnb or holiday-cottage owner's own website, with pet and parking rules stated up front
- A hostel listing family rooms, laundry and airport shuttle times for backpackers
- A wedding venue that also sells rooms, showing check-out times for the morning after
- A serviced-apartment block's tenant page with EV charging and gym access details
Questions
How do I mark something the property does not offer?
Put an exclamation mark before the name ('!Pets | Assistance dogs welcome') or write 'not available' as the detail ('Spa | Not available'). The item stays in the list with a crossed icon, a dashed border, a struck-through name and the words Not available, so guests who scan for pets or a pool get a clear no instead of silence.
Which icons are included?
Fifteen simple line icons drawn for the widget: wifi, parking, pool, gym, breakfast, pets, accessible, ac (air conditioning), spa, restaurant, bar, laundry, ev (charging), airport and family. Any other keyword falls back to a tick, and when you leave the keyword blank the widget guesses from words in the name such as shuttle, sauna, lift or cot.
Why are times shown as 3:00 PM on some sites and 15:00 on others?
The tiles use the locale of the embed (en-US for USD sites, en-GB for GBP and so on, or the locale you set), because guests read times faster in their usual clock. You can type the time either way; 3pm, 15:00 and 1500 all give the same tile.
Is it accessible?
Each group is a labelled list under a real heading, icons are decorative with the meaning always in text, unavailable items say so in words, and the layout switches to a single column below 420 pixels wide. Colour contrast follows the light and dark themes of the widget.
Can I list prices, such as parking per night?
Yes, as part of the detail text ('30 spaces, £12 per night'). The widget does not calculate or convert those amounts; it prints exactly what you typed so the wording matches your booking terms.
