Android phone test - complete diagnostic

A guided check for any Android phone, ending in a graded, shareable report.

Which device are you checking?

Pick the device in front of you. The checks are tailored to it — a desktop is never marked down for having no battery.

Android gives a browser more to work with

Chrome on Android exposes several things Safari does not, so more of this run is genuinely measured rather than declared. Vibration can be triggered through the Vibration API, the motion and orientation sensors report without a permission prompt on most builds, and multi-touch counting is reliable.

That said, an accepted vibration request still is not proof the motor moved — the API returns true when the request was taken, not when anything happened — so you are still asked whether you felt it.

Google account lock

Factory Reset Protection ties a phone to the Google account that was signed in before the reset. A phone that has been wiped without signing out cannot be set up. No web page can check this; ask the seller to reset the phone and take it through setup in front of you.

Where Android phones usually fail

In roughly this order: the touchscreen along one edge after a drop, one of the several rear cameras, the earpiece speaker, and the charging port. The touchscreen grid and the camera switcher in this run cover the first two directly; the last two are guided checks.

Quick answer

Open it in Chrome on the phone. Vibration can be triggered, though an accepted request is not proof the motor moved, so you are still asked whether you felt it. Google account lock cannot be checked from a web page.
